Master Your Boxing Stance: The Foundation of Every Fighter

Hey there, champ! Whether you're stepping into the ring for the first time or just looking to fine-tune your technique, mastering your boxing stance is where it all begins. Today’s video is all about getting you grounded with the basics. So, let’s dive right in.

Finding Your Stance

Alright, let’s get you into position. Follow along with the video, and I’ll guide you through it step-by-step:

  1. Feet Placement: Start with your feet shoulder-width apart. If you're right-handed, put your left foot forward. Southpaws, you’ll do the opposite. Imagine you’re standing on train tracks – that’s how your feet should align.

  2. Knees Slightly Bent: Keep those knees soft, not locked. This gives you the flexibility to move quickly and absorb any incoming punches.

  3. Weight Distribution: Distribute your weight evenly between both feet. You should feel grounded but light enough to pivot and dodge.

Practice Makes Perfect

Spend some time shadowboxing in front of a mirror, or better yet, follow along with the video. Watch your form and make adjustments as needed. The more you practice, the more natural it will feel.

Watch the Video

In today’s video, you’ll see a demo of the basic boxing stance. Watch closely and practice along. It’s all about repetition and muscle memory. The more you drill this stance, the more instinctive it will become.
